Veronica Jane Wireman, age 83, of Fenwick, passed away at home on Sunday morning, September 7, under the care of her loving family and hospice.  She was born in Belding, Michigan on February 28, 1931, the daughter of Frank and Elizabeth (McCormick) Lyons.  She graduated from Belding High School and married Callie Wireman who preceded her in death.  Veronica worked for much of her life as a caregiver to many different individuals.  She helped to make them comfortable in their homes and assisted them with cleaning and personal care or in whatever capacity they needed.  She collected dolls, loved to watch birds and had a special interest in the beauty of rainbows.  She loved her dog, “Baby Girl” but cherished her family and friends.  She has been described as the “nicest person you could ever know” and was always taking care of someone.  She was also generous and regularly supported charities including St. Jude’s Children Hospital and was honored by being asked to attend a donor’s luncheon in Tennessee a little over a year ago.

The memory of Veronica will be cherished by her children, Callie J. (Dawn) Wireman of Orleans, Steve (Phyllis) Wireman of Ionia, Linda (Duane) White of Fenwick, James (Mindy) Wireman and Mark (Kelly) Wireman both of Belding; a son-in-law Randy Huey of Howard City; lots and lots of beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sisters Betty Rozell of Florida, Marie Wireman of Ohio, Rose Wireman of Belding and Marian (Robert) Nason of Belding; brothers John Lyons of Belding and Robert (Theresa) Lyons of Greenville.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by daughters Nancy Huey, LouAnn Wireman and Connie Wireman.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary service at 7:30 p.m. at Verdun Family Funeral Home, 303 S.
