Larry Edwin Dillon, age 71, of Lowell, formerly of Portland, passed away Wednesday evening, January 28, 2015 at Laurels of Kent Nursing Home in Lowell, following a long stay there.  He was born on November 9, 1943 in Springfield, Ohio, the son of Donald Ray and Marjorie Ethel (Watson) Dillon.  He relocated to Lake Odessa with his family while still a young child and attended Lake Odessa Schools.  He enjoyed collecting coins, loved listening to music of all types, and had an extensive record, tape and CD collection.  He worked occasionally in assembly or other light industrial capacities for E.B.I. in Lake Odessa.  We was a helpful son and lived with his mother until she passed away at age 99.  Larry loved spending time with his family and was always willing to play with and entertain his many nieces and nephews.    


Larry is survived by his siblings Paul (Linda) Dillon of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Ethel (Tom) Wilkinson of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee and Glen (Maxine) Dillon of Lake Odessa, Michigan; many nieces and nephews, including Mary (Burl) Quick of Lake Odessa, Dana (John) Whitecotton of Bokoshe, Oklahoma and Robert (Corena) Dillon of Lake Odessa; and several great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law, Pam Dillon, of Gainesville, Florida.  He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Edie Hawley of Las Vegas, Nevada; and a brother, Donald “Junior” Dillon of Gainesville, Florida.
