Allen C. Culley III

Allen Charles Culley III, age 49, of Fenwick, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family under hospice care, on Monday, August 7, 2023.  He was born on March 8, 1974, in La Mesa, California, son of Allen Charles Culley II and Colleen Renee England, both of whom survive. Allen was educated in California schools and worked for much of his life as a self-employed contractor specializing in gutter and roof projects, but he could build or repair any structure. He exchanged vows and started a family with Rebecca Lynn Mitchell while they were both quite young, but their love never wavered.  They relocated to Georgia where they raised their children and recently relocated to the Long Lake area near Fenwick, to be closer to family and enjoy the natural surroundings of Michigan.  He was self-confident and fun and will be missed by all who knew him.           

In addition to his parents, Allen leaves behind his beloved wife, Rebecca of Fenwick, his children Stephen (Desire Wyatt) Culley of Fenwick, Nathan (Madison Tillery) Culley of Duluth, Georgia, Shaylee Culley of Athens, Georgia, and Justin Culley of Fenwick; grandchildren, Taylor, Ava, Gwendolyn and Weston; siblings, Alexis Culley of Tom’s River, New Jersey and Christin Culley of Prattville, Alabama; his maternal grandfather, Clayton, England; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his Grandma Betty and an uncle, Gilbert England.
