Aubin Owen “Buster” Byrnes

Aubin Owen “Buster” Byrnes, age 80, of Belding, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at Spectrum Health, United Hospital in Greenville following a brief illness. He was born in Belding, Michigan on March 15, 1939, the son of Alphonzo Joseph “Al” and Isabell Myrtle (Graham) Byrnes. Buster graduated from Belding High School and served his country in the United States Army. Following his military service he completed college courses and worked in several capacities including at Gibson’s Manufacturing in Greenville and most recently prior to retirement was a truck driver. He also owned and operated Hilltop Sports near Greenville and Buster’s Sporting Goods in Belding for several years.

Buster leaves his dear son, Kevin O. Byrnes, of Belding, of whom he was very proud; and sisters, Pat (Richard) Bracker of Belding, Kittie Eady of Belding and Judy (Ray) Parker of Texas to mourn his passing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alphonzo Byrnes and Isabell Byrnes Bracker.

Private interment rites will take place in St. Mary Cemetery near Belding. Those wishing to express their sympathy are welcomed to consider a memorial contribution in Buster’s name to the Alvah N. Belding Library.
