Deloris Marie Austin) Myers

Deloris Marie (Austin) Myers, age 83, of Orleans, passed away unexpectedly at Spectrum Health, United Memorial Hospital in Greenville, on Friday, September 21, 2018. She was born on February 20, 1935, in Belding, Michigan, the daughter of Ivan Earl and Zyelpha Marie (Antcliff) Austin, both of whom preceded her in death. She attended Belding Area Schools and worked in several capacities during her lifetime, retiring from Frigidaire in 1996, and later returned to the workforce at Dial-a-Ride. Deloris was a long-term member at Shiloh Community Church and regularly enjoyed the Thursday night music programs at Ionia Area Commission on Aging. She kept busy at home too, manicuring and tending her immaculate lawn and rock gardens. And she also made sure that she was aware of the latest must-have-item on the QVC shopping network. She loved BINGO and going on bus trips to the casino with her friends and daughter Renee. Deloris loved her family dearly and enjoyed living near Long lake for many years.

The memory of Deloris will be cherished by her children, Fred N. (Janet) Clark of Belding and Mark Steven Clark of Fenwick; grandchildren, Fred John Clark, Matthew Steven (Alisha) Clark, Amber (Allen Flanigan) Carlson, Megon (Chris) Meinke, Brady Badder and Nicholas Badder; great grandchildren, Wyatt Clark, Owen Meinke, Mya Meinke and Ava Meinke; siblings Arlene Venneman, Raymond “Teener” Austin and Linda (Jerry) Tingley; and several nieces, nephews cousins and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Renee M. Clark, a brother, Ivan Leroy “Buff” Austin and a sister, Colleen Austin.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, September 25, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Verdun Family Funeral Home, 303 S. Bridge Street, Belding. The Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Shiloh Community Church with Pastor Ken Harger officiating. Visitation will also take place at the church on Wednesday for an hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Orleans Township Cemetery.
