Dennis Lee Kinney

Dennis Lee Kinney, age 55, of Orleans, passed away on unexpectedly Monday morning, April 15, 2019, Sparrow Hospital in Lansing. He was born in New Milford, Connecticut, the son of James Dale and Melba Esther (Naegele) Kinney, both of whom preceded him in death. Dennis earned the necessary certifications and worked for many years as a maintenance supervisor at a large apartment complex in Kalamazoo. He moved to Orleans several years ago where he enjoys the great outdoors and all it has to offer including long walks, playing frisbee and looking for bald eagles. He enjoyed riding Harley Davidson motorcycles, watching baseball and loved to work on hot rods and race them.

Dennis leaves to cherish his memory his sons, Danny (Katlyn) Kinney of Orleans and Dennis (Kara) Kinney of Ionia; grandsons Evan Kinney and Zayden Kinney; siblings Barbara (Dewayne) Thompson of Middleville, James (Mary) Kinney of Hastings, Edward Kinney of Allendale, John Kinney of Belding, Brian Kinney of Orleans, Melba E. kinney of Hastings, Peggy Kinney of Greenville and Lisa of Cedar Springs; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A memorial gathering celebrating Dennis’ life is being planned for the near future. Those planning an expression of sympathy are welcome to consider a memorial contribution in Dennis’ memory to the benefit of the family.
