Dennis L. Venneman

d. June 7, 2024

Belding, Michigan

Dennis Lee Venneman, age 65, of Belding, passed away late Friday morning, June 7, at Spectrum Health, Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids following a brave and determined battle with cancer. He was born in Belding, Michigan, son of Lee Wesley and Phyllis Ann (Antcliff) Venneman, both of whom preceded him in death.  Dennis attended Belding High School with the Class of 1976, after which, he went to work at General Tire in Ionia.  Upon its closing, he went to work at RobRoy, now known as Stahlin Enclosures, retiring several years ago.  He worked in many capacities there and was very proud of the finished products that he made.  He was very mechanically inclined and did most of the maintenance and repairs on his vehicles including his motorcycles, which he was passionate about. He was kind and generous and had a great laugh and was a regular attendee of the morning coffee groups around town. Dennis loved to hunt, was loyal and smart, and, while you might not suspect it when first meeting him, he enjoyed quilting and was a very good dancer. Dennis was a Christian who was proud of his recent baptism and will be missed by many.

He leaves many to mourn his passing, including his significant other, Jeanny Williams; his daughter, Robin (Sarah) Venneman of Gowen; his grandchildren, Autumn (Zack) Campbell of Fort Drum, New York, Nate Champlin and Thomas Ockert both of Stanton, and Adreonnia Seely, Alyza Ockert, and Tobias Venneman all of Gowen; siblings Tracy L. (Tim) Roundtree of Fenwick and Julie Ann Decker of Orleans; step siblings, Ted (Cathy Potter) Amirault of Newaygo and Roberta Amirault of Hastings; and several nieces and nephews.
