Joy L. Rasmussen

Joy Lynn Rasmussen, age 72, of Muir, passed away at home, following a long illness, on Tuesday, August 25, 2020, under the care of her loving family and Heartland Hospice. Joy was born on October 17, 1947 in Phoenix, Arizona, a daughter of Walter Lee and Vera Allie (McKinney) Parker, both of whom preceded her in death. In addition to keeping a home for her family, she worked in several capacities during her lifetime including many years in assembly at Lowell Engineering. Joy enjoyed league bowling and crafts of any type, especially painting porcelain dolls. She also loved reading a good book and an occasional trip to the casino to try her luck. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

The memory of Joy will be cherished by her dear family including her son William “Bill” Scott of Muir and her daughter Tina (Chris) Rohman of Tempe, Arizona; grandchildren Preston Rohman and Catie Rohman; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Jeraldine, Jack, Bo, Deanna and Ronnie.
