Loren James Crandell

Loren James Crandell, age 76, of Belding, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2019, peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family and will be missed by all of those who loved him. He was born in Owosso, Michigan on January 16, 1943, the son of Franklin & Barbara (Howe) Crandell. Loren was a member of the Belding V.F.W. Post 4406, Auxiliary. He was a hard worker and enjoyed the time he had here on earth, but now is in his forever home enjoying family members who have gone on before him.

Loren is survived by his siblings Sharon Montague of Ellenton, Florida, Gary (Julie) Crandell of Lansing, Dawn (Roy) Cullison of Ionia, Vickie (Verne) Wilder, Allen Crandell, Debra Nash and Richard Crandell all of Belding; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings Priscilla Bauman, Franklin L. Crandell, Ruthann McComb, Dale Crandell and two infant siblings, Donna Crandell and William Crandell.

Loren will be remembered for his deep love of family and for always being willing to help in any way that he could, especially his mother as her health declined prior to her passing. He loved Detroit Tigers and Lions teams and attending Belding High School football games. He enjoyed sitting on the porch watching the birds and cars going by and talking to the neighbors. B-93 was his favorite radio station and loved it when they played Leann Rimes songs. Loren was great at helping out with a tough jigsaw puzzle and watched as many classic tv shows and old movies as he could. One of the fondest memories of him will always be his warm greeting and hug at family holiday gatherings.

Cremation rites are being accorded and no services are being planned at this time.
