Mary Ann (Camp) Parker, age 87, of Montague, passed away at Metron of Belding Nursing Home, under Hospice care on Thursday, June 7, 2018. She was born in Muskegon, Michigan, the daughter of Leo Howard Camp and Opal Elizabeth (Rouse) Camp-Stickney, both of whom preceded her in death. She graduated from Montague High School. She continued her education at Daniel’s School of Cosmetology in Muskegon and was self-employed in cosmetology serving clients in her home for nearly 20 years. She married Robert H. Parker in 1950 when they eloped to Gary Indiana to tie the knot. They shared 36 years of marriage prior to his death in 1986. Mary was a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, Montague Post #3256, and former member of the White Lake Eagles Club.
Mary leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters, Martha (Cliff) Curtiss of Clinton, WA and Vicki Parker of Montague; grandchildren, Christopher Curtiss of Bellingham, WA, Jennifer (David) Johnson and Robert (Chelsea) Clark both of N. Muskegon; great-grandchildren, Kayleigh, Devin, Thomas, Elly and Bryson; a brother Timothy (Sue) Stickney of Umatilla, Florida; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Loss.
Private memorial services will be held by members of Mary’s immediate family.
