Michael A. Williams

MICHAEL A. WILLIAMS, age 50, of Charlotte, formerly of Belding, passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday, December 25, 2021. He was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the son of Thomas Michael and Bonnie May (Bailey) Williams. He attended Belding Schools and has worked at as a machine operator for auto parts manufacturers and other shops. Always up for a competition, he would set production goals for himself that were above the standard, and once he beat that goal on a shift, he would set another one to prove to himself that he could do more. Mike would seldom miss a party if he knew one was going on and was always the life of the party. He loved telling a good joke and giving people a hard time. He loved NASCAR and went to Michigan International Speedway whenever he could. He loved his kids and left his one-of-a-kind messages for them on their birthdays and other special occasions. He will be dearly missed.

Mike leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Bonnie May Porter; his children Breanna Dawn (Jordan Brown) Williams of Jackson, Thomas Joseph (Megan) Williams of Greenville and Bailey Rachelle Williams; his dear friend and companion, Abbi Anderson; Breanna and Thomas' mother, Connie Williams; his siblings Candy (Arthur) Haigh of Charlotte, Robert (Cindy) Huddleston of Belding and his stepsisters Sarah, Alyssa and Stephanie; several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and great friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas, his maternal and paternal grandparents; a nephew, Casey Jay; a great nephew, Lane Matthew; and a great niece, Elora Silvia May.

A Celebration of Life gathering will take place on Sunday, January 2, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Belding American Legion Post. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a contribution in Mike’s memory for the benefit of his daughter, Bailey.
