Robert L. Rhine

Robert Lloyd Rhine Jr., age 87, was called home to be with the Lord on May 22, 2022. Robert is survived by daughters Jamie Rhine, Carrie Rhine-Kilel (Charles) and grandsons Kibet and Kipchumba Kilel. He is survived by sisters: Shirly Yeck, Donna (Randy) Neuman, Sharon Huizenga, Linda Rhine-Haworth. He is survived by brothers-in-law: Tom Garvon, Bob Garvon, Ron Garvon and sister-in-law Freda Robinson. He is preceded in death by his wife Peggy Rhine, Granddaughter Christina Rhine and his parents Marguerite and Robert Rhine.
Robert and Peggy were married in 1977. They enjoyed spending time with friends and family and spending time with their daughters. They became “like parents” to many children throughout the years. Jr was a retired Superintendent of the Lake County Road Commission. In the last few years, he enjoyed spending time with his daughters, son-in-law and grandkids. He would look forward to family adventures. He loved being outside and puttering around in his shop. He always found something to keep busy. He enjoyed hunting and being in the woods. He is going to be deeply missed by his daughters, son-in-law, and grandkids, but his spirit will live on in us.
