Sharon Lee (Krathwohl) Holt, age 82, of Belding, passed away on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024, under hospice care surrounded by her loving family, following a brief battle with cancer. She was born in Rochester, New York on March 11, 1942, daughter of Richard E. and Alberta V. (Donley) Krathwohl, both of whom preceded her in death. She graduated from East Rochester High School with the Class of 1960, and married the love of her life, Thomas E. Holt on February 23, 1963. The couple relocated to Belding for a professional opportunity for Tom, where they raised their family. Prior to Tom’s death in August of 2012, they shared 49 years of marriage. An organizer at heart, she utilized those skills throughout her life as an administrative secretary for Belding Area Schools in various positions working at all the elementary school buildings at one time or another. She also assisted with operating the family business, B.H.S., marketing with her husband Tom through the years. Sharon was an active member in several clubs, including Thimble Club, Herb Group, Book Club, The Red Hat Ladies, the Friends of the Library and the professional fraternity, Delta Kappa, Gamma. She volunteered for every worthwhile effort in the community including the library, museum, and countless church and school functions. She set an impeccable table and hosted luncheons for the school retirees’ group and other events. Sharon loved to travel and went with Tom when his work allowed, but also paired up with her sister and other family members to sojourn to Ireland, Palm Springs, Aruba, Hawaii, Colorado, and, of course, an occasional quick trip to the casino. Sharon attended St. Joseph Church for many years and more recently had been attending Outreach Christian Church in Lake Odessa She had many dear friends who will remember her for her passions of reading, gardening, and walking indoors or out to stay active.
