Susan M. Martin

Susan Marlene (Shattuck) Martin, age 70, of Ionia, passed away unexpectedly at home on September 1, 2020. She was born on July 24, 1950, in Ionia, Michigan, the daughter of Robert Earl and Ellen J. (White) Shattuck, both of whom preceded her in death. Susan graduated from Ionia Area Schools with the Class of 1968. She lived in the Ionia area throughout her life and worked in several capacities in food service and manufacturing. She enjoyed crocheting and loved to work crossword and word search puzzles and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Susan will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.

Memories of Susan will be cherished by her children Robert E. (Beth Decker) Martin of Lake Odessa and Carey A. (Nick) Troyer of Ionia; grandchildren Tyler, Taylor, Gaige, Ryleigh and Monroe; great grandchild Bentley Tipton; siblings Dana Hernandez and Robert Shattuck; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings Sharon Moore, Georgia Misner, Larry Shattuck, John Shattuck and Frank Shattuck; and a brother-in-law, Joseph Wireman.
