William Allan “Bill” Bileth, age 75, of Belding, passed away peacefully on Feb 5, 2025, following a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born and raised in Grand Rapids, the fifth of six children, where he attended Ottawa Hills High School. Bill held many jobs throughout his life, but his primary career was in commercial construction. He took great pride in his work, contributing to numerous projects that shaped communities. With a strong work ethic and a keen eye for detail, he excelled in his trade, whether he was building from the ground up, making structural improvements, or ensuring every project met the highest standards. His dedication and craftsmanship left a lasting impact on both the industry and those he worked alongside. On August 21, 1993, Bill married the love of his life, Joan, beginning a beautiful journey together filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support. Through the years, they created a warm and loving home, supporting one another through life’s joys and challenges. For many years, Bill played in a band, sharing his passion for music as a talented singer and self-taught guitarist. He was an avid outdoorsman who found joy in hunting, spending countless hours in nature. Bill loved riding quads, creating and exploring new trails. Gardening was one of his favorite pastimes, and he took great pride in cultivating his crops and enjoying the fruits of his labor. Above all, Bill cherished his family and friends, always bringing warmth and laughter to those around him with his quick wit and endless supply of jokes.
Bill will be deeply missed. He is survived by his wife Joan (Quist) Bileth, son Jeff (Julie Sawyer) Bileth; daughter Amy (Eric) Rinehart (their mother, Patricia Reagan), son Dakota Bileth, daughter Jayleigh (Wesley) Groom and daughter Jacquelyn Bileth.; and five grandchildren, Emily (Jacob) Demeter, Joshua Rinehart, Chloe Bileth, Jacob Rinehart, and Ryan Rinehart
He is also survived by his siblings Barbara (Virgil) Kaminski, Bonnie (Jim) Grooters, Jack (Karen) Bileth, and Vicki (David Hickmott) Bileth; one half-sibling Anne (Bob) DeGraves; sister-in-law Judy (Bill) Rozeveld, brothers-in-law Jack Quist, Jeff (Natalie) Quist and Joel (Renee) Quist; lifelong friend Joe Brower, special friends Roger and Karen Crout, and numerous beloved extended family members, friends, and neighbors.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents Leigh and Ellen (Gudith) Bileth, father- and mother-in-law Jay & Wilma (Lucas) Quist, brother-in-law Virgil Kaminski, brother-in-law & sister John & Pati (Bileth) Czinder.

A Celebration of Life gathering will take place on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Ada Bible Church, 8899 Cascade Rd. SE, Ada, MI 49301. Bill’s family will greet visitors beginning at 10:00 am and a service will begin at 12:00 pm with Pastor Kyle Pierpont officiating.
