Zachery Allen Bailey

Zachery Allen Bailey, age 33, of Sheridan, passed away on Tuesday evening, December 10, 2024, at Corewell Health – Blodgett Hospital in East Grand Rapids. He was born in Hastings, Michigan, on November 19, 1991. Zach graduated from Lakewood High School with the Class of 2010 and has worked at Extruded Metals Corporation in Belding for many years, serving most recently as an Inspector/Packer. Zach loved to go camping and fishing and enjoyed several other pastimes including gardening, cooking, and grilling the many varieties of meats that he would smoke for hours with just the right blend of wood chips and spices. He was also an eclectic collector of a variety of items which he usually found at yard or estate sales, and he cherished family heirlooms that found their home with him. Zach loved his family dearly and will be missed by them and his many friends. 

Zach leaves to cherish his memory his dear friend, love of his life and fiance', Sierra M. Caswell; their children, Blaine Bailey and Ezekiel Bailey; his parents Vernard A. (Julie) Bailey of Lowell and Malissa L. Tabb of Rockford; his siblings, Michael Tabb of Muir, Michigan, Jamey (Ed) Bailey of Valparaiso, Indiana and Adam (Abi) Bailey of Lakeview, Michigan; nieces and nephews, Averi Bailey, Alyvia Bailey, Greyson Butler, Eli Butler, Emmelia Karker, Elijah, and Emmett; sisters- and brother-in-law, Breanna Karker of Pennsylvania, Chelsea Caswell of Lansing, Jacob Karker of Alto, and Cheyanne Caswell of Florida; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and many great co-workers and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. 

A Life Celebration Gathering will take place on Saturday, January 11, 2025, when Zach's family will host visitors from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Verdun Family Funeral Home, 303 S.
